In Episode 7, “Happy Sweet Sixteen, Jerk,” Georgia painfully tells her daughter that she was abused by her stepfather her entire childhood. “He molested me most nights with my mom asleep in the next room,” she says.
After Georgia finds out more about his career however, Gil and Georgia's relationship turned into an abusive, toxic one where Gil abused Georgia to the point of her almost shooting him out of self defense and eventually getting him incarcerated after framing him.
At the end of the series' seventh episode, “Happy Sweet Sixteen, Jerk,” Ginny announces to her mom, “Hunter went down on me.” Hunter, played by Mason Temple, is Ginny's first boyfriend.
After Cordova tells Ginny that he suspects Georgia may have killed Kenny, Ginny remembered how right before his death, Kenny sexually assaulted her when he touched her inappropriately, despite her protest, during a yoga lesson.

Ginny has grown since the first season, coming to understand much more about her mother, especially after finding out quite a few details of her mother's extremely traumatic and unfair past, like her abusive stepfather.
In flashbacks throughout Season Two, viewers learn that Gil was physically abusive and that Georgia framed him for embezzling money from his company. He was arrested and Georgia fled their apartment with Ginny and Austin.
After receiving her early acceptance into NYU, Sophie tells Max that she doesn't see it working when she goes to college next year. Max points out that that is still a long way away. The pair break up anyway and Sophie leaves Max heartbroken.

Explaining her reasons for having Ginny lose her virginity in the first episode, creator Sarah Lampert told TVLine: "A lot of our show is about subverting tropes, and one of my least favorite tropes is the idea that virginity is — and only for women, really — something special to hold onto.
She ends up telling him that she has a way of making herself malleable to make friends. After sleeping with Marcus, Ginny heads to the pharmacy and asks for the plan B pill.

Why does Abby tape her thighs in Ginny and Georgia?
Abby tapes her legs in 'Ginny & Georgia' due to her body dysmorphia. Abby's body dysmorphia is first explored in Season 1 after Press calls her “whale legs.” Though she tries to shake ofr the comment by saying “whales don't have legs,” the off-handed remark sticks with Abby.
While Ginny and Marcus try to continue dating as they work on confronting their respective traumas, it all becomes too much for Marcus. During their devastating breakup scene, Marcus tells Ginny, “I don't have room for anyone else's pain right now.”

In the Season 1 finale, we see Gabriel confront Georgia about the murder at Mayor Paul Randolph's reelection bash, but she looks unbothered as celebratory fireworks explode overhead, and we learn she got rid of Kenny's ashes using the fireworks, so she's no longer fearful of being charged with the crime.
Georgia returns home and believes she has an intruder, so she draws out a second pistol. She points it on Ginny. Ginny wants answers, but Georgia tells her she is her family. Ginny calls her Mary, so Georgia slaps her.
Ginny doesn't end up with either Hunter or Marcus at the end of season one, but instead runs away with her little brother Austin.
In Season 5, Georgie started a relationship with Mandy, and it wasn't long before she was pregnant. Among other problems, they weren't married, which caused the church to turn its back on the Coopers.

At a party the following night, Hunter talks to Ginny privately in a bedroom. They end up hooking up, and Ginny tells Hunter that she's on the pill and gives him consent for everything.
Afterwards, Marcus reveals he was a virgin when they first had sex and wanted her to think he was cool. Marcus then delves into how dark it got after his friend died, and he scared himself. He then brings up how he saw Ginny with the lighter about to self-harm.
What disorder does Ginny have?
Ginny Miller suffers from anxiety and depression as a result of her chaotic childhood and high school experience. She confesses to her father that she was turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms and ultimately suffers from a panic attack.
Abby struggles with bulimia nervosa, a disorder where one eats and then purges their food. This bulimia is rooted in her family struggles and evolved in season two.
Georgia is a friendly sociopath, a complicated woman who, behind her “crazy” appearance, has plans and strategies that surprise us in every episode. Her monologue in which she “justifies” killing the ex-husband who was abusing her daughter is haunting and moving, a performance that deserves all the praise.
However, Gabriel then shows up with the police and arrests Georgia for the murder of Tom Fuller. Ginny is shocked and in disbelief but a crying Austin tells Ginny that he saw Georgia kill Tom.
The Shooting at the End of Episode 8
Earlier on in episode 8, Austin finds a gun under Georgia's dresser and although he puts it back, when he hears his father, Gil, fighting and basically abusing Georgia in their kitchen. Austin does the only thing he can think of, he gets the gun and fires it.
Season Two of “Ginny & Georgia,” which premiered on Jan. 5 on Netflix, has topped the streamer's Top 10 chart for two weeks, and has been applauded for its depiction of characters struggling with eating disorders, anxiety and depression.

As the season progresses, Ginny begins to change her appearance to fit in with her non-Black friends, straightening her naturally curly hair. And like many biracial people, she's complimented on the change.
